Finding Friends
Recent events seem to have sparked a groundswell of interfaith efforts. One of our goals at SFRC is to share expertise and relationships that help speed and strengthen our efforts. We're listing some Twin Cities-based organizations and actions, knowing there are many we have not yet met. If you know of someone we haven't yet met, please share their contact information with us!

The National Council on American Islamic Relations has a long and proud history of offering political and religious information, resources and leadership. The Minnesota chapter is a great place to go for insight on current events and advocacy. A blog authored by a number of local Muslims, this site provides a great window into current Muslim experience in Minnesota. This vibrant organization offers an impressive range of educational resources for community members, classrooms and special groups such as law enforcement and health care professionals. They have over thirty highly trained speakers and a well-designed series of classes for those interested in learning more about Islam. Interfaith Action of Greater Saint Paul, is a volunteer network of people from a variety of religious traditions and perspectives seeking to strengthen a culture of engaged dialogue, relationships and action in the Saint Paul area. A recent spontaneous effort and a great example of the power of grassroots action. See their story here:

We hope this site will inspire others to create their own networks. If you have a local network sharing our goals and principles, please let us know and we'll post a link to your website here. Eventually we hope to have a state-by-state listing.
